Your observation regarding the superiority of AOL only makes sense from the standpoint of their front-end which they control totally. What you have to remember is that this is about to change and change drastically with the advent of Java and ActiveX controls with which thousands of developers will be generating content for "net software" as you put it. But right here, right now, you make a good point.
