I brought this up earlier in the year. It really will have an impact after January 1st

To save time (avoid having to go to advanced search feature), would it be possible for a basic message search to cover more than the current calendar year? This is particularly an issue this early in the calander year.

I see no advantage to limiting the basic search to the current calander year. Why can't this change be made?
