That being said, the comment about "bizarro since OJ" was very much on the mark. It is unfortunate, but the divide
in this country is such that the rule of law no longer is what matters...it's winning at all costs.

I argue about this election all the times with both democratic and republican friends. I offend everybody with my consistent approach. But among all the folks i talk to, this has not risen to feud proportions. If the Jesses and the delays of this world would just go away, we could, in the words of that great philosopher, Rodney King, all learn to live together. Bush may have a chance to rise to the occasion by going along with an SCOTUS ruling that involves recounts. If that 9-0 ruling comes, hopefully it will be without chads and involve total state recount of the novotes including a recount in Broward, Palm, and those 3 precincts in Miami where Gore picked up many extra votes. Bush would have a 2-1 chance to hold(perhaps increase) his lead so he should eschew the fla legislature decision and go for it.
