Lucent Technologies to Sell Digital TV System to China CHINA, May 10, AsiaPort -- A few days ago, the optical network department and the video frequency department of Lucent jointly declared that they would sell optical fiber digital TV system to the telecommunication and other concerned TV-operating units in Fujian, Jiangxi and Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. This system can transit high-quality signals of video frequency in an effective and flexible manner. These facilities have been in keeping with the global MPEG-2 standards. The largest among the three contracts is with the Jiangxi Cable Television.
