256 mg DDR is nice. 128 works ok, 256 is better. 384 better yet. i got a dell celeron with 128 ddr. bot 256 ddr from crucial (www.crucial.com) present prices are $36 for 128, $70 for 256. try the 128 - if you're not doing a whole lot at once, 128 should be fine. enjoy! larry
