Jim, I agree 100%. QCOM is cheap compared to stocks like CSCO. Many analysts don't bother to look into the details, and they ignore the long term prospects as well. The real news is that CDMA is finding new markets throughout the world, and particularly in Austrialia, Mexico, India, and possibly China (for the 3rd generation products, handled through Ericsson). Projecting out the growth in demand, I would make a conservative estimate of earnings doubling from their present level in two years. I don't care where the stock price goes in the short term as long as I can depend on solid future growth. The current hullabaloo over Jacobs cancelling a meeting in Boston might have another explanation; namely that it conflicted with Irwin's plans for the high holidays.
