A little story, often of faith, that is told to illustrate a point. Sort of like the Parables. snopes.com McCain's story has all the earmarks of a glurge. Why does this story suddenly pop up? AFAIK, he never mentioned it before he started campaigning for president. He has never written about it. Given that he has quoted Solzhenitsyn before, it is clear he is familiar with his work. And who hasn't read "The Gulag Archipelago"?
