Ken, I think the post you read was a comparison of speed that Armen and I were comparing for SCSI devices. Yes, I realize that the choke point for parallel devices is the port. He was talking about the Zip having total portability because of the parallel port interface. I told him that I have a $25 parallel port scsi controller that I use with my Syquest products. I still get total transportability, but I have the added advantage of total scsi performance when I hook up my syquest to a computer that has a SCSI controller.
