I guess you can't actually "talk" to Symantec teks online but I did use their automatic detection service which checked my pc to see if everything is operating correctly. I had an old version of Live Update that it removed and installed a new one. It also said that I need to have ccRegVfy.exe checked in my Start-up tab under the System config utility, but it doesn't exist to check it, so I then ran into the "wall".

Can't get through it unless you pony up $29.95 for phone support and that is where my search ended at this time.
