They already have a "buttload" of money -- they are working on the impossible -- a shield to protect us from incoming missiles -- an unlikely threat.

Think of all the money spent on that every year and then remember 9/11.

No, I've got a lot of scientist friends -- I've worked in the defense industry myself -- government sponsored research is a VERY bad value for the dollar -- we need to let markets work. To say we need to "throw money" makes me sick.
