I will answer this myself: If you are on a wireless make sure your old LAN is "disabled"--not just "watching" because it has a "network cable unplugged". Somebody with a brain has to infiltrate the computer industry. "Wireless connected--excellent signal" ought to mean something besides you better disable the LAN that (some program downloaded from Latvia) made your primary yak yak with the world.
