Yes, we all know this regime is under incredibly tight control of a tiny handful of completely insane people who think they can win a Thermonuclear War. And nobody can stop them. Not now & not in 2024. If we live that long.

The don't think they are. Work on robot bodies, costing perhaps a billion $$ each has been ongoing for many years. My nephew alerted me to this when he was at MIT, decades ago while he was doing pioneering research on the electro-chemical basis of the human brain, later continued with his Ph'd earned at Univ. of Pennsylvania. Bottom line:

We wouldn't see such a dramatic American DOD policy shift if those AI machines weren't ready to receive the individual consciousness' of this tiny %age of human elites.
