I read that stuff you gave me a link to. The concept is pretty simple, and really elegant. It made me want to start winding coils. Seemed like doable, Tesla-era stuff. Whether it would work or not is questionable, but the cost is so low it seems like a crime not to find out. Just the advances in controlling and shaping magnetic fields seem like they would pay the freight. Someone should fund it.
