Jimmy, Thanks for your technical analysis. I for one have enjoyed your rebuttals and the accuracy of your posts. Unfortunately, I am one of the stupid consumers you have alluded to. but, I make or break a company. So, I can't be ignored I have to "have the right product, in the right place, at a price I am willing to pay". Iomega has fully understood the explosion of the SOHO market and they have responded accordingly.

Remember before Iomega started truly marketing storage, the whole category was about as exciting as a tax audit. A lot of products have come down the pike in the last 15 years that have been technical marvels, but they are also in the "speeds and feeds" graveyard because they had no mass appeal.

Also, Fry's is a little tough to use as a consumer barometer. while they have a great presence in the all important California market, they are just a regional player. I think a better barometer for you to look at is a circuit city, best buy, incredible universe, compusa, and the such.

Again, I don't want to enter the technical battle with you. All your points are exactly right. But, what matters is winning the war to capture the mind of the "stupid" consumer. Sorry, but that's just a reality -- I think you reluctantly agree, and therefore are Long on IOMG. I appreciate your posts and hopefully all of this hasn't dampened your enthusiasm for this forum.

regards,
trakker
