Bernie (and JimP) No ego check is needed. It's a simple a case of expressing one's view about how much of an asshole a poster can be without annoying the majority (or everyone). Some don't care. Apparently, you are among those that don't. Others do.
Clearly, there are some posters that annoy you more than the SOB does. So what? Express your annoyance about them (as you appear to do) but, don't, however, begrudge us ours.
SOB's welcome has worn thin on many boards. He has been described in rather plain and simple English that reflects the opinion of many. For example: "We here at The Patrol have voted you the most arrogant, haughty, self-serving, low-life piece of crap, that we've ever encountered on a message board. Congratulations!" Some of today's posters were among those expressing similar opinions but have, seemingly, forgotten how they felt at the time. Now, that post is an older one but lest you think the animal has changed its stripes, I offer you the very latest dose of "Who's better than me?" claim from the SOB himself. It's only two days old:

Freedom...a wonderfull thing~"
I puzzle at why equal or better minds, here, need to have the input of a guy that can't make money? I, long ago, uncovered this fraud:
"by: kollmnh 11/02/00 10:34 pm Msg: 365 of 499 Slider- I guess I've been right about you, all along. You're nothing but an oddlotter with attitude and a great spiel.
Yes, I do have a NEARLY seven figure gain on RRC. Of course, I also have a nearly seven figure investment in RRC so, maybe you'd call that poor performance? Gee, you state that you've made some nice 5 figure profits? I'm sure you have. But, anyone with a $5-10,000 investment in the OSX could have done that without breaking a sweat, in the last year. I'm sure thousands have done just as well. Want to guess how many investors made 6 figures, seven figures?
Perhaps, YOU need to wake up and understand a few things, i.e., "you're are all keyboard and no money". And, yes, little boy, there are numerous investors on these boards that sport some serious bucks. I know of them persoanlly. You may feel like a big kid in that sandbox of yours but, you aren't even on the radar screen when it comes to sitting down at the grown-ups table. So, ease up on the rhetoric. You know, you blew your cover long ago when you bragged how your 'big' MEXP profits enabled you to buy some electronic toys and take a vacation. Seriously, toys and a vacation? Is that your idea of a big score? Next, you were on your way to maybe getting an SUV?
You say that if "you had a million, let alone made a million, you sure as hell wouldn't waste a keystroke on a message board. Why not? Is a million suddenly too much money (for you)to justify posting? Are you suddenly too good for everyone? Or, are you so overwhelmed by your good fortune that you would sneak off the field and hang up your cleats? Don't you get it, yet, do you? |
