War Talk:

President Donald Trump said Monday he is reducing the 50-day deadline he gave Russian President Vladimir Putin to either reach a peace deal with Ukraine or face massive “secondary tariffs” on Moscow’s trade partners.

“I’m disappointed in President Putin,” Trump said in Scotland alongside United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer before a bilateral meeting with the European leader.

Pressure on Russia increased as 50 day deadline reduced. This is the way to distract from you know. War always boosts politicians popularity. But it is dangerous. Putin is in an existential squeeze and has talked too often about nukes. Always dismissed as a bluff but such threats have become way too normalized.
