A little over a week ago, we were informed that a press release was due in "a week to 10 days". Shortly thereafter, for some reason, we and the "street" anticipated the news early. I don't know why and asked that question several times in previous posts. I couldn't understand the activity early last week. When it became clear that the news was not to be forthcoming, everyone seemed upset. I warned everyone then that it wouldn't be before Friday, if then. Releasing the news this weekend (Monday before the bell) would certainly put the orignal statement that news would be out in a week to ten days in its proper time frame.
A friend of mine, and a fellow shareholder of ACCY, emailed me with his thoughts concerning the news- and I concur with him. To have all the "i's" dotted and the "t's" crossed correctly, prevents problems down the road.
It behooves us all to realize that this undertaking was initiated just 3-4 months ago. While we all are concerned with the price of the stock, we must ALL relaize that the company's primary goal, at this point, is to get the tourney started. The stock holder's concerns, at this point, are secondary- as they should be! Now, I will admit that I'm just as anxious as the next person to see this stock take off. But, I'm also just as anxious to see the company pan out and be able to provide more of the same down the road. That, I believe, is where the REAL money will be made. Yes, I mean long term. I know that doesn't do much for the daytraders and momentum players, but, IMHO, this is not a quick "in and out".
If you think about it, mention has been made that some of the players may opt for stock in lieu of cash. If this proves to be the case, then their (the players) concern is just as strong as ours. Price will follow. Regardless, if the news release was without merit, would ACCY have held it up? IMHO, if they are taking the time to make sure everything is above board, then they are obviously working to make sure of their success, and our success as well. Time will tell. Here's to Monday!

BTW, Yahoo Quotes lists ACCY- news:N/A. I've only seen that when another release is pending. And, as we all know, they have several new releases out previously. Just an observation................ |
