Canadian Politics

The landscape in Canada has shifted radically since the last posts on this thread. The Quebec election has solidified the Federal outlook.
As to who gets to choose the Prime Minister, Americans could hardly do a worse job than Canadians.
From our side of the line we can envision Al Gore in the same suit of armour that George W. Bush presently wears, they seem to be cut from the same cloth and the events of 9/11 changed the world, the office and the man.
America should not look unkindly upon Canadians because of the Prime Minister's decision to forego the war. In the final analysis our position as ex-best friend of the toughest kid on the block may be very valuable.

Canadians do not really get to choose the Prime Minister, even Canadians are not really sure how it is done. We use Premieres to curb our Prime Minister, Canada has spare political parties for those who wish to waste their votes creatively.
