I agree with you on the market being big enough for many suppliers.

Customers will evaluate many companies before they award a contract. There are cases where the larger companies are not even interested in bidding on a contract.

The smaller companies sometimes will go the extra mile for
a customer because they are more motivated. Establishing a
good working relationship with the customer is the key
to a company's success.

I hope VLSI can turn things around in the near future.
