Berney; RE:" S&P Ratings for Ersatz Bonds "

Thanks so much for that information, Berney - it has been interesting to piece these things together, and info is difficult to come by. It's been good to learn (again) about how dividends work (^_^)

Because they all appeared to go ex-dividend today, reading through the news-feed has expanded the list of "ersatz bonds", and I just punched them into a MyYahoo portfolio, and into my generator to follow them. Here we go...

AJA AJC APJ AZD CBF CMV CJA CSJ CPD DTA DTB DTD JRL KPC NIC OJA OJB OPJ PCQ PGB TVA UND WQP

...another interesting thing this little project has forced me to do is re-learning how to use the compound interest keys on my HP-12C calculator (!) gawd - takes me back to skool {grin}

Got bored and decided to explore another trading tactic today. Bought 571s KPC @ 26-1/4 = $15,000. Will be ex-dividend tomorrow, payout 30-SEP of $0.545 USD per share = $311.00 income. I expect it to drop tomorrow and/or Monday - so have an order to buy 970s KPC @ 25-3/4 = $25,000. The idea here is to average buy-down and (hopefully) reduce the time required to exit, leaving some odd-lot number of shares as "profits" on the table yielding 8.385% APR.

Again, I believe the best tactic is to throw some kapital at one of them after they drop tomorrow and/or Monday, scalp them long and leave the profit as income-producing shares on the table; and hope to do so.

>> good luck with Georges, my friend.
