Exactly. And continuing to try to do so will only continue the bloodbath.

In this respect, it is the opposite problem of Vietnam. There, we were trying to divide a country that shouldn't have been divided, while here we are trying to keep united a country that shouldn't be united (except very loosely, as Biden et al and now Friedman have maintained).
