Joan, from what i read, conditions in several states are already extreme, with the first half of 2,000 proving to be a period of record warm/dry weather. extrapolating the recent trend, one must assume that conditions are going to progressively worsen throughout the summer. and yet, prices for wheat/corn/soybeans, etc. have barely budged so far.
