Darwin gets the blame and the credit in equal amounts. The so-called God loving types blame him for his "invention" and science credits him. Fact is someone would have eventually pieced together the fossil record and came to the exact same conclusions as Darwin. The fossil record speaks for itself and does not need a dumb ass to sprinkle holy water on it. To let the fossil record come between them and faith in a creator shows me their faith is on shaky grounds. They should worry more about their book of fire side tales they think is divinely inspired and which one of the 50 translations is the correct one.
