CaTbabe:
I'm bbbaaaaacccccckkkkkkkk........just drove in from Dallas.
This experiment of daytrading in a room with other daytraders and all the noise and questions and comments and a bunch of other unpleasant (to me) things has proved to be a SHORT term experience for me.
Red had a conference to attend so I decided to spend my week of bachelorhood in a "sweat shop". Danged if it didn't resemble having a job.
I can now recall all the things I didn't care for in going to work ----driving, parking, crowds, grabbing a meal, sorry food, weak coffee, lukewarm coffee, stupid comments, etc......... Actually, I've just gotten very used to my creature comforts of having my office in the house, cooking lunch for Red to come home to eat, having a broker office four blocks away, having friends drop by, and many other nice things about close to 10 years of not having a "real" job.
I knew the guy who organized this trading room, and all his customers are happy. This is the last month for him to run this office as he is moving to New York so I wanted to give it a whirl while I had a chance with someone I know. The ten traders I was in with are in traders heaven, but most of them trade the Naz, momentum plays of the day, and very similar to the chat rooms I've visited, except not as jovial or friendly. Suffice it to say, it's not for me......... definitely too hard a way to serve the Lord..........ggggg
I was the only index trader in the room, so I didn't learn anything in that area, and I've no interest in trading on companies which I only know as symbols ........not much FA done in that room.........I got to observe closely the fever pitch trading on stocks trading in the multimillions and nobody even knew what the heck the company did. I suspect it's that way all across the nation. I'm glad I tried it, though.
I didn't have access to SI as the only internet available was all tied up and none in the evening because I'd forgotten to bring the modem hook up for the laptop. After the second day, I knew I wasn't going to be there long enough to worry about it, and Lone Star Park was just down the road. The horses are still easier to make money on than the stock market.....gggg
AT any rate, here I am back and I want to catch up on the 2000 posts on the various threads. I had to laugh when I read the comments from you and David about my absence... was pleased that you'd not started the rumor that I'd overdosed on Viagra.....gggggggg
Red will be home this evening and I think I'll have steak and flowers and candlelight ready. Don't have too much housecleaning this time.
