"The battle to put the Internet on television sets will heat up this week when an Oracle Corp. subsidiary announces new software to compete with Microsoft's WebTV Networks. The software is now available from Oracle's Network Computer Inc. NCI must still line up hardware companies to make boxes capable of running the software. NCI did not say which companies will do so, but chief executive Jerry Baker "guaranteed" that systems would be available by December for $300." nando.net
