Rafique,

I just came from the ETRADE site where I saw they had posted my last check to my account. I promptly bought another 150 shares of INTCW. I'll have to check tomorrow to see what price I bought at.

However it's a tough call to advise someone else to run out and buy INTCW right now, especially since the Merrill Lynch upgrade Thurs. which caused the stock to pop 5+ points. I didn't see that coming, if anything I thought there might be a couple more downgrades. When I turned on CNBC and learned of the upgrade, I felt like I was at a dove shoot without any ammo, only able to wave at them as they fly by (no cash at ETRADE).

It is my gut feeling that INTC still has something left "under the hood". My old 'vette had a 454 big block built to produce about 500 HP but the car looked absolutely stock (original). Those pesky Mustang owners hate 'vettes and like to challenge you at stop lights. I'd always like to play with them a little by staying even with them for a few hundred yards before I opened it up and blew their doors off!

Something tells me that Andy Grove and Co. have not shown us everything that is under the hood at Intel. The problem with this hunch is that due to prop 211 they may not be able to. This revolting development could throw a monkey wrench into my analysis and lead to an even better buying opportunity after the earnings report (stock goes down). I have yet to see a corp. support prop. 211. Since most of the CA voters work for, or are indirectly dependent on these companies
for their jobs, I think it will not pass. JMHO
Good Luck,

LEE

PS- Stop watching the market so closely, you'll drive yourself crazy. I only have time to look at CNBC a couple of times a day and get on the PC to check my stocks and chat with the folks here at SI late at night. So a lot of the noise that worries you I never see. The INTCW expire on 3-14-98.
