Two Sentiment Measures, with different implications.
Jake Bernstein's measures of trader sentiment are giving ground grudgingly: We're sliding down a wall of complacency and are still short term overbought.
AMG Data for w/e Wed show a pretty hefty $-196 million taken out of Tech Funds in a 5-dy period where the Nasdaq went up. While I don't have the key mid-Sept data for Tech Funds and this doesn't clarify the timing of any coming Nasdaq rally, in the weird world of contrarianism, its encouraging when a sector can rise in the face of fund outflows. The classic example was 1988 when stocks worked their way slowly higher as stock funds incurred outflows, then took off late in the year.
