John, You need at least a pentium 233 and 64 meg of memory for DD to work optimally. Forget their minimum system reccos(133 +16M), they rae trying to broaden their sales. I bought the IBM and dragon dictate and use a 133 with 16M, dogsville, so I upped to 233 MMX and 64 M RAM. At this the Dragon preferred was better than IBM.You also need a good microphone with an inline amplifier(many SB cards do not give out enough voltage to operate a powered mike properly) You must also have a very quiet area to work in. Test it with a radio in the background. When the radio is 20% of your volume it will slow it down a lot. Even randon street noise slows it down.
