Inco and its union just signed a VERY lucrative employee compensation package. I wonder if the union is shooting itself in the foot as the rush to automate and move to cheaper countries etc.will pick up and minimize the VERY expensive labour costs.
The pressure is now on Falconbridge to match the offer with their people.
The Sudbury camp will be subject to more economic pressures as their costs further increase.
The union won the battle but may lose the war.
