FWIW, I've had a large GTC buy order in at 2.7p for nearly two weeks now and have only gotten 1/4 of it filled. It's even traded below my price, though I can't see T&S for it, so for all I know, they might've been AON trades larger than my order. Though I'd think unlikely given the size of this order.
I'm using my AG Edwards account, which has a London office, and assumed my trade would go through London, but was curious to see that the trade confirmation I received in the mail yesterday was for its grey-sheet ticker, AVFCF. I've never seen any trades on that ticker and still show the Bid and Ask both at 0.
Odd. Trades are happening in London at my price, but I'm not getting much of it. And this may be an afterhours thing like we have in the states, but what's showing right now as the current best bid is below mine.
I didn't expect a quick fill as I'm staying firm at a relatively low price and plan to leave it there until at least year-end. And this order is near the average daily volume.
Disclosure: I work for the company as the head of US operations and President/CEO of its InvestorsHub.Com property, which owns Silicon Investor. I own a substantial stake in the company already, having subscribed for shares when they acquired us. Though I have daily visibility into US operations, I don't have financial visibility into the rest of the company (I don't sit on the BoD) and am simply accumulating as my personal funds permit (read: gains from other trades) until I reach my personal ownership % goal in my nest-egg account, so my buying now is not an opinion on the timeliness of such a purchase nor a buy recommendation. Of course, given my position with the company, I'm bullish, but my horizon is very long-term. |
