Don, Herf here. Thought you might find this interesting,

"The Nikkei 225 average had been lifted by a media report saying the government decided to use 1.3 trillion yen in public funds from postal savings (Yucho) and insurance (Kampo) to boost share prices."

When they start using the Yucho monies, you know things have reached bottom. Things are really getting strange in Japan now. No confidence whatsoever. Citicorp is booming from people moving money into dollar accounts. They're only paying 2.6 pct, but it beats the domestic rates and it's better than the mattress.
