From the article Gio linked to: The aide said the panel was gathering information about the S&P move but no decision had been made on whether it will hold hearings into the downgrade. Let me get this straight... They are meeting to decide whether or not to call S&P on the carpet before Congress to investigate the downgrade?!?!?! What the hell?!?!? This is nearly analogous to the Salem witch trials. Congress is basically threatening S&P by saying, "Carry our water, or we'll burn you at the stake!" Holy shit -- talk about reprisal against a whistle blower! These bastards are so far out of control that they've become surreal. -nfg-
