All, Instat survey on sub-1000 pc's.

instat.com Latest Survey Shows a Home PC Market that is Still a Long Way From Saturation

While the sub-$1,000 price category for home PCs has received much attention this year, In-Stat's home PC survey shows that most consumers plan to spend more than $1,000 for their next/first PC. In fact, nearly one-third of those surveyed plan to spend over $2,000 for their next/first PC. This is good news for PC OEMs because their profit margins on higher-priced models are better than on the sub-$1,000 models.
