I am quite satisfied with my success but it is greed I guess,I feel really stupid sometimes when the stock goes higher like say 15-20% and I had only made 10%.But I still like it this way because it is sure money and according to my experience most of the time I see stocks coming back down after they have increased in price for 10-12%.

I play with around 8-9 stocks at the same time.Depending on the price of the stock. I had played with 15 stocks at the same time once.

I have allowed the limit order to sit for 2 months at one time.It is very rare though. Now a days it is really good.A few days ago when IBM was running up it only took 2 hours. So,to answer your question accurately the time you allow depends on how well you have chosen your stock.

I stay in (right now) 4 industries.Semi,Entertainment(DISNEY,to be precise),Gold ,Bank.

I think I answered everything you asked.
