kjude, I like your positive spin. Here's another. With Nomai currently limited to France, Iomega will have the benefit of reviewing first hand how customers will react to the competition. Iomega could take the opportunity to fine tune their marketing response with limited risk and thus be better prepared just in case Nomai snakes their way into stores elsewhere.

BTW, one thing that encourages me about this Nomai situation is that no major disk manufacturer (with their extensive resources) has ever attempted a clone. I would assume they have some very good reasons.
