jackie, thanks. 16 yr old girl, near here, died last week from suspected meningococcemia. All the poor father could say was how fast it all went. Hope it never happens to my kids. Even with my understanding of the disease I don't think we would get the kids treated in time. Can see it now. Just the flu, just a sore throat, just a rash. Might not even know about the rash. Use HMO. Would they go? No appointment. Better to be where death is accepted, because at least there is no guilt. Here, its not only the loss but did I do enough, soon enough.
