So are you saying you used a Solaris machine to post this message? I think your old WinTel box needs to be replaced with a Microsoft "Whitsler" (sp?) box with Intel's new fancy Merced chip that will come out in the second half of the year. That box is rumored to be very stable and will drive PC sales again. Just pony up about $4000 when that box comes out in July or August. Believe me, you will never regret that investment again in your life.

Seriously, at the same price, you can rack-mount 4 Colbalt boxes together and run your e-commerce site. It's sad that we've come to the date that Microsoft is selling a client machine MORE than a low end UNIX server machine. If not for the lack of software available on those UNIX boxes, I might just purchase one as my client box.
