Cowpland was being interview on some TV show today and he basically blamed his Java problems on SUNW.
Well, I would have to see the interview but he is shooting what's left of his feet by blaming Sun and shareholders must demand that he stop it now. This isn't the blame game. When IBM comes out with eSuite Cowpland will have reconfirmed his stupidity. Until then he should keep his ignorant cakehole shut. Sun has about 17,000 employees. What the 1,000,000 refers to is the number of Sun Workshop, Symantec, Borland, IBM, Asymmetrix and other Java development platform users out there. Even if Sun were at fault, which they are not, what sort of leadership blames Sun and them blames Microsoft for their own failure to execute? I knew they were in trouble when they claimed that advanced features like search and replace would be added later. That told me they did not even have the most fundamental notion of how to design an editor, let alone a wordprocessor or something more elaborate. They just bought used technology and they don't even know how it works. Then they try to blame Sun for their failure? Is anybody curious as to why IBM decided to use Corel's hometown as a launch pad for eSuite? Corel's managment is nothing more than an anchor to its shareholders and an incompetent pest to industry leaders like IBM and Sun. |
