More accurate AMAT option prices.

I looked up the AMAT 2003 50 calls todays price was 12 3/4 by 13 1/2 this means that AMAT would have to got to 64 before you would make a dime. AMAT would have to rise over 50% for this to be profitable.

The Jan. 2003 30's were traded at 20 3/8. ( more expensive than I thought)

Lets say that AMAT gets back to $70.00 per share. Bush gets his tax cut and Greenspan gets replaced.

The Jan 2003 50's will give you a profit of $700.00. (50 strike plus $1300 ='s $6300.00.

The Jan. 30's that you paid $2000.00 for will be worth $4000.00.

Which bet do you want to take? All opinions welcome.

Regards, Jerome
