From: CALIFTALK
At the end of June 1998- when the company was without cash resources, had no need
for a second copier, had to vacate the office
on Post Road in Houston,
and had negative earnings- why would any sane person sign for a $33,000 copy machine?
It cetainly was not authorized by the Oilex Board of Directors or Officers.
But Omar Ahmed signed as "company executive of Oilex" to acquire the copier,
upon the instructions of Allen Burditt.
And now the leasing company has a claim
in the chapter 11 reorganization

It appears to me that the plan was going to be
move the copier, and then it would be used by Burditt's other business interests and moved to a separate location, but left as a liability of
Oilex. The typical Burditt scheme, whereby
he directs behind the curtain but avoids
signing the documents.
