An interesting point in the Nova program was the introduction of a device called the "Ridgeometer". The device allows the user to measure the "rigidity" of the nocturnal erections of the wearing during the night. All you smokers should note that there is a direct correlation between rigidity (blood flow) and smoking. Just 24 hours of non smoking did result in a significant improvement of rigidity. Also, they pointed out that ED could be a warning sign of coronary disease. The decrease in blood flow to the penis could be an advance warning of heart disease.
