I had missed this one, a real yukker. "I'm an American, I believe in the American Way!" babbles Jim Allchin about Linux' communistic tendency to not have corporations own absolutely everything. He doesn't think lawmakers understand the communistic threat that Linux poses to the American Way of Life. It's deja-vu of the domino theory all over again. Allchin really should consider making a career change into biotech, where they're currently paying politicians to define living organisms and DNA patterns as patentable, licensable "Intellectual Property" (you know...Genentech actually invented the red blood cell). It would be a bad thing if the communists deprived God of a market-based incentive to innovate. --QS news.cnet.com
