Average traded shares: The average number of shares per trade per day (Total volume/# of trades). During the past week, I have noticed that the number has been decreasing, meaning that there are more retail trades vs institutional. That tells me that the big boys have stopped buying, waiting for the retail trades to slow down before they start selling (taking profit).
