Palin expected to draw big ratings for Republicans

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's appearance at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night is expected to draw a large audience, with viewers tuning in to see what kind of reception she receives after the revelation that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.
Palin, 44, who was Sen. John McCain's surprise vice-presidential pick, is seen as a highly appealing, photogenic candidate, but there has been incessant media coverage of news that her unwed teenage daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant. Media reports indicate that the child's father, whom her parents have said Bristol plans to marry, will be at the convention Wednesday evening.
