Sultan, [text added] assuming WinXP I'd go to 'my network places' and click on 'set up home or small office network'. A wizard will appear. If that fails, try the procedure below...

shutdown
1. pc
2. router
3. modem
[all three off for 3-5 minutes]

start up
1. modem
2. router
3. pc

note... it is as important to shut down properly as it is to
start up properly.
also note... one sequence is the exact opposite of the other,
i.e, last off is first on and so forth
