I think that the Cirrus Logic very poor earnings announcement is what weakened AMAT and some other semi-equipment stocks in the afternoon. It gave a good reason to take profits. I hope the effect doesn't carry over very long. I am glad I was away from my computer at the time, so I did not do anything stupid like sell AMAT out of panic.
