Admittedly a short term view, but with retail sales roaring, consumers unaffected by housing weakness, USDollar strength, steady oil, the impetus for buying gold is lacking, so this weakness may persist. If, however, gold emerges from this slump and rallies such a rally would be particularly impressive. I don't expect it but you never know.
