Time for the major media to take a firm stand & wait until
every possible scrap of evidence has been thoroughly
scrutinized by independent investigations before actually
reporting on any of the serious issues.

Good grief. Keep your pants on.

That yet another UN program is ill conceived and corrupt is hardly news. Like, tell me something I didn't already know intuitively.

What matters about this one is the extent to which key officials making decisions regarding the war in Iraq may have profited. Whether heads of state or the UN or their cronies personally gained from this program will take a while to sort out. These are accusations they have to get right if they're to make them. All in due time. This lust for scandal at the rumor and innuendo stage can best be satisfied by the National Inquirer. And, of course, the internet.
