Who cares if no prez candidate will run against the NRA? They only balk because they can't get away with it (yet) because the public isn't yet fed up enough about guhn violence. The fact is the NRA is too powerful now. But that doesn't change the fact that they lie through their teeth and the 2nd amendment has to have limits or it's guaranteed insanity. So logic says you can't take them on directly. Which makes Michael Moore a very brave man who oughyt to be cheered, at least by every parent and cop in this country. But any caring president will stand for outlawing assault rifles in the hands of the public. Any police group would support that 100%. The Reagan family supports that 100%. Otherwise, it's a ticket to anarchy and mass murder to have so many military weapons out there. Remember, many of them would be in the hands of dangerous people, not just "responsible gun owners". Also terrorists could find it very easy to buy assault weapons. Not all terrorists are Arabs with "Tango" tattooed on their foreheads. The proof is in the pudding. How many gun massacres in the past two weeks alone?
