Not925,

I can understand investors' concerns regarding Intel and its 802.11x plans. Let's put it this way, it would be extremely easy for Intel to incorporate 802.11x technology into its very own chipsets and effectively steal market share from Intersil. That could definitely be a possiblity.

Now another thing to remember is that Intel's only true successful investment has been the microprocessor. Almost every time Intel attempted to invest in other products, they have been complete and utter failures.

As for Intersil, one must remember that Intersil is not only a designer and manufacturer of 802.11b chips, but also other analog communications chips and power management chipsets that are used in Intel based notebooks.
